Can newspaper editors easily download story-related images from
your website? A dynamic image accompanying a breaking story can
mean the difference between making the front page, or the newsroom's
recycling box.
Here are the key elements of a winning online image for media
use:
-- A standard jpeg (preferably created in PhotoShop) that
can be downloaded directly from your website
-- The image should be rgb at a minimum of 200 dpi, at 8"x10",
and low compression
-- Embed a 50-word (maximum) caption that includes a photo
credit and copyright information. And make sure to note the availability
of images in your press releases.
